跟大家分享一下最近在聽的Oasis綠洲合唱團的新專輯<Dig Out Your Soul>
自從高中以來就非常喜歡他們的熊恥我
雖然朋友先傳給我謎之版本
但試聽以後沒多久就跑去買了CD
(這年頭買CD都會被當瘋子~奇怪)
聽下來感覺整張專輯中綠洲合唱團又找回了以前豐沛的創作能量
像是<Waiting for the Rapture>、<The Shock of the Lighting>等典型綠洲風格的歌曲
<I'm Outta Time>結合約翰藍儂嗓音向Beatles致敬的創意等等都相當喜歡
但是我更想在這分享比較沒人注意到的第六首小品<Get off Your High Horse Lady>
節奏感強烈又帶點迷幻感的唱腔相當有趣
歌詞又簡單

原本以為這是一首嗑藥後要女孩們躺下來的搭訕之歌XD
後來查了查網路上的解釋才發現.....
"get (down) off one's high horse
Fig. to become humble; to be less haughty. It's about time that you got down off your high horse. Would you get off your high horse and talk to me?"
原來是要那些大頭症、公主病的女生賣勾假阿~老子今天懶得騎馬陪妳們玩阿
(等等...po到這邊才發現...那後面的lay down是...還是要他們直接躺下來阿...
)
)總之,那時查到這個解釋的我有如發現新大陸一般，很開心的學到一個小俚語(背後響起每日一字配樂)
當下就連續播放了好幾次
同時想到平常最厭惡那些裝模作樣自以為懂的老闆/長官/承辦
忍不住就跟著唱了起來~
